Version 5.1.3: Improved random assignment in Presets

In Quick Featured Images Pro you can define rules for future post how to set the featured image automatically. You can create a set of images to set one of them as featured randomly.

Sometimes it happens that the featured image of the latest post becomes the featured image of the new post. The same image following the other image looks poorly.

The section “Set, replace, remove” has an option to avoid using the same image of an image set more than once. That feature was not available in the “Presets” section.

Version 5.1.3 of Quick Featured Images Pro closes this gap. The algorithm automatically ascertains the featured image of the last post and takes care not to use that image for the new post. It looks much better that no two identical images are listed consecutively.

This plugin is brilliant and has saved so much time. Using IFFT to pull instagram pix into a wordpress post when they meet certain criteria, then this plugin downloads the image to the media library, removes the image from the post itself and sets it as the featured image from where a carousel picks it up by tag. Automation - well worth the money!
