The versions 5.4.1 and 5.4.2 of “Quick Featured Images Pro” (QFIP) fix two minor bugs to make managing featured images more secure. Since version 5.4.2 the plugin “Video Thumbnails” will be considered.
The first bug fix (in version 5.4.1) drops the deprecated jQuery function “live()” (which was used on calling the media library dialog box) in favor of the current function “click()”.
The second bug fix (in version 5.4.2) prevents removing the first content image if setting this image as featured image was not successful. In the section “Set, replace, remove” this functionality is implemented from the beginning of the plugin. In the section “Presets” it is also available since now.
Version 5.4.2 prevents setting the featured image if the plugin “Video Thumbnail” (VT) is active. Since VT does not overwrite existing featured images the recognition of this plugin is necessary to not set the featured image by QFIP automatically. So VT can set the video thumbnails as featured images.
