Reply To: External images not loading or found?

The oEmbed rules are not the issue, really. The third-party plugin, contentcards, is rendering the correct image using the oEmbed tags in that site, even though that site is not “supported” by WordPress’s native eEmbed capabilities.

I think what may be happening, and you can verify this, is that when QFIP does its magic, it is *not* executing embedded shortcodes. Meaning, the content provided by contentcards isn’t even being considered, because it isn’t rendered. Is this case? Or does QFIP render posts fully (run all shortcodes) before looking for images?

That being said, I put a bare link to an external image in the body of a post, and QFIP still did not pick it up. And I am using the option for images on external servers.

Any other ideas? I had high hopes for this plugin to “just work”, but it does not appear to be doing for external images what it claims.
